Hey Jam Fans! The schedule is a little light this month with the holiday season upon us. We've got a private party this Saturday and on the 20th we'll be at our favorite Nassau County watering hole, CJ Wellingtons. Venture over the Hudson and join us along with a fun local crowd for some rocking festivities to usher in 2009! As a special holiday treat, Chris Reed will be sitting in with us on saxophone that night!!

You just never know what will happen at a Jam Straight show. At Jose O'Reilly's on 10/4 not only did Bob (harmonica) bring along his sax-playing brother from Costa Rica to sit in but we had the priveledge of seeing Richie propose to his girlfriend (now fiance) Kelly. Be sure not to miss our next O'Reilly's date (11/8). Also, for those of you on the other side of the Hudson, CJ Wellington's has asked us back to rock the joint on 11/1. Jose O'Reilly's has us back in Norwood, NJ on Saturday 10/4.

Upcoming shows........

Thanks to all who made this past weekend's shows a blast. The crowds at CJ Wellington's and Jose O'Reilly's made both nights!! Singing, dancing, special guests, it was all there. We hope to have some new dates at CJ Wellington's shortly. Jose O'Reilly's booked us for three more Saturdays (10/4, 11/8 & 12/6). Please mark your calendars in case you're near Norwood, NJ on any of those nights. They also serve great authentic Mexican and Irish dishes so don't hesitate to come for dinner.

For now it's BACKYARD PARTY season! This Saturday (7/26) we'll be in Old Tappan at the Crolla residence. We jammed this party straight last year and had a ball. Then on 8/9 we travel to Chester, NJ for an all day festival in a cousin's backyard. Jam Straight will do a short set along with 1 or 2 other bands but mostly it will be a free-for-all jam session. Lastly it's the fourth annual Nappipalooza Labor Day bash at brother Steve's house in Harrington Park.

If anyone would like to join us at one of these private shindigs please let us know in advance so we can inform the respective hosts for their head count. They all will have food and drinks. This Saturday's party in Old Tappan and the one in Chester are extremely kid friendly. Contact us for more info on any of the parties.

Upcoming shows

Hey all! Jam Straight will be performing from 8PM - 11PM at a party in New City thrown by the owners of Jose O'Reilly's and the Porterhouse on Friday, July 4th. All are welcome and a pool & hot tub are involved. 2 other acts, (1 also featuring Jerry & Neil) will perform from 2PM - 5PM and 5PM - 8PM. If you are interested in going please e-mail or contact us for the directions.

The next show for Jam Straight will be Friday, July 18th @ CJ Wellington's 30 New Hyde Park Road Franklin Square, Long Island (516-326-4990). This is in Nassau County close to the Queens border.

The following night (Sat 7/19) we will be at Jose O'Reilly's in Norwood, NJ.
